Can this eternity band be made slightly larger?

Hi Everyone,
Can this vintage eternity band be extended from a size 5 full to a 5.5 full? I know sometimes platinum can be shaved from the inside to make it larger and sometimes it can be broken and a small bar inserted to achieve the larger size. Do you think something could be done to this ring? I appreciate all your help.

It doesn't look like there's much if any extra metal there to shave, so I suspect that option is out. You can probably find a jeweler who would take it on, but I suspect that a lot of things could go wrong with a project like this, so be sure to find a jeweler who does good quality work and be prepared for the cost estimate to reflect that. Are you planning to buy this ring new, or are you hoping to size a pre-loved or bargain ring?

Lovely ring. I had an eternity shaved down. I just needed it a hair larger tho - IDK about getting 1/2 a size - you'd have to ask

I sent my eternity to DK and it was shaved down from a 6.5 to a 7. It depends on how much room there is so you don't get too close to the culets. Mine is platinum and I was worried it might compromise the structure of the ring but it is still as sturdy as before. In fact, the ring was originally a 6 and I had the sizing bar lengthened to get it to 6.5. I did find that the original jeweler that took it to a 6.5 did not pay attention to the prongs so one diamond started spinning and when I took it to another jeweler he had to tighten 4 stones. Now it is like brand new. The prongs don't snag and it is so much more comfortable in the summer.

The gold ring you see on the sizing bar is an 18k bezel Yogo sapphire.
