Hi there everyone! I was wondering if someone could please assist me in finding a particular style of ring. I am looking for a three stone-2 tone diamond engagement ring with a center diamond about 1/2 carat (or larger) with diamond stones set inside a heart on each side. I know this is a long shot but I am really hoping someone can help me find this. If it is not something I can order, then I will have it made but I would like to have a picture to give to someone to make. I am just afraid to have it made...especially without some direction.

Thank you so much!

oh goodness. well, sounds like you''ve got a custom project ahead of you

seriously, I can''t think of anything that meets those requirements. The good news is, places like Whiteflash and engagmementringsdirect both do cad/cam renderings of the rings they design/make so they could make the computer image of your ring so you could get an idea of what it would look like ahead of time. there are some designers that make things that are close though.

Green Lake Jewelry works can draw up a sketch for you at no charge. They do awesome custom work, just check out pauly1 or machick for proof! (I''m getting mine there as well.)

Welcome to PS, melnor.

I can envision what you are after, and I'm sure it would be beautiful and unique! As to the odds of finding exactly what you are after "off the shelf", I would say they are a bit slim. I've been looking at rings online and in the jewelry marts and jewelry districts in LA for years and have literally seen thousands of rings. Many of the trends include pavé/halos. In terms of cut, hearts are not nearly as common as princess cuts and rounds. Similarly, two-tone designs are not as prevalent as single-tone rings.

Personally, I'm a big fan of both yellow and white metals, two and three-tone metals and hearts. After many close-but-not-quite reactions to the rings I was seeing both online and in the B&Ms, I recently upgraded my setting to something a bit similar, except that it is a bypass style in 18K white gold with heart shape diamonds on the side for a modified three-stone look. It's not exactly how you described, but may be a jumping off point:

Oops. Here it is:

Melnor, sounds like a beautiful ring but I agree it is probably going to be a custom design.

Gemview, your ring is gorgeous.

Wow, that is lovely!

Thank you MarcyC and Skippy123.

I believe OP was not looking for heart shaped diamonds, but for side diamonds "in" heart shaped gold areas.

I believe OP was not looking for heart shaped diamonds, but for side diamonds ''in'' heart shaped gold areas.

I pictured the heart shapes in a bezel setting instead of prongs. They could be prong set inside a heart outline too, though. I''ve also seen princess cut stones used to create a heart shape. Generally speaking, there are so few designs that integrate heart shapes that it helps to start some where.

In any case, let us know what you come up with, Melnor. We''d love to see photos!

Thank you to everyone for helping me! That is a beautiful ring gemview! I still have a bit of time before I need to decide what I want but I am going to start shopping around for a custom builder and hope for the best. I didn''t know they done computer rendering so that will be a big help!
