I''ve seen some nice princess stones with depths up to 78. I like my table smaller than my depth, which yours has. The only thing is that for the difference between your table and depth, it may have a lot of its weight at the bottom, which will make for a smaller looking stone for its weight. It''s a subjective judgement call. Look at several stones in several trips before you decide. Make sure to buy from a merchant with a nice return policy and lifetime upgrade policy. Enjoy!

yeah I notice the smaller size for the karat. the demension length and width is smaller than other .90 karat I have seen on other diamond, but I am o.k. with that since I can''t tell the different between a 1 with alittle bit bigger demension vs. this one. But yeah they did supply me good service such as supplying the flour. lighting, weighing scale, and answer alot question in a manner way. they also supply free service to cleaning and resetting which is nice. as for as warranty and insurance I am planning to do that with my insurance company.

thanks justjulia for your reply. but does anyone know if this princess diamond will have good light return???

Crown Angle - 47.7%
Pavilion Angle - 42.6%

angle or percentages?

I was writing down the info too quick I guess...oops! the number I gave you can''t be the percentage b/c would the crown # be too large to be the %? so it would be the angle right?

RE: Judging light performance.

Does the stone have a newer AGS grading report?

Rockdoc

no...

Since AGS''s new cut grade report that IS based on light performance is fast becoming the standard of grading light return, probably would be in your best interest to ask the seller to get this done for you.

It will probably add some cost for doing that, but this will positively give you the answers you seek, as their cut grade is light performance based, and they are primary source for doing this.

As an alternative you could have it sent to an appraiser who has the new PGS software, who can estimate what the AGS would say, but probably better to get it directly from the source.

Crown height percentage and pavilion depth percentage is an important statistic to have as well. That information is not in your list of statistics. Also it is very important to see that the table and culet are centered as well, as if they are not, then the stone could be cut slightly lopsided.

well the appraise on the diamond was done by AIG lab...I''m sorry for not being so clear. That would make since to why you ask me if it had a newer ags report. Right now I am trying to get the infomation on the crown height and pavilion depth % from AIG lab. I have written down the report # on report they present to me about the diam. and email them directly to them to get the infomation since the report they supplied me didn''t include these infomation. I guess right now I am trying to avoid purchasing the diam. without feeling comfortable with it or really knowing alittle bit more about it. but once I do purchase I am planning to get appraise by an independent appaiser. thanks rockdoc for the additional infomation.

Dear MNDIA

Perhaps a less "painful" suggestion is for you to check out the vendors on this site, and see if you can find a princess cut that already has the newer AGS report. Search for pincess cuts with the AGS 0 cut grade report.

I think GOG, Diamond Expert, Wink, and Whiteflash have some available. Paul at Infinity cuts these too.

Most of those vendors will send a stone to an appraiser who is qualified and credentialed without you paying for it in advance, so you can have total peace of mind that the diamond is the ONE that you really want.

You may also find that it may cost less and you''ll get a better proportioned and performing one too.

I like the pavilion angle, or should I say, I do not really dislike it.

I do not like the crown angle and the polish.

If we knew the weight, we might be able to tell more.

Live long,
