Can someone help me explain this:

The magnified picture on this diamond looks dirty to me, lots of stuff going on it looks like.

When you look at the Clarity map on the GIA certificate, it doesn't show really anything but a very small Natural inclusion on the top side.

What am I looking at in the magnified picture that makes it look all dirty, and why doesn't it show up on the Clarity map on the certificate?

Thanks in advance,

If you read the certificate, this diamond's clarity is based on clouds not shown. I guess that is what you are seeing.

That looks like more than clouds. But that's probably the photography. Call and ask them about it.

Hello all -

When this thread cropped up, I was curious about this image and did some investigating.

Our gemologist report indicated:

"Diamond is 100% eye clean. Diamond is slightly hazy/cloudy." - But nothing to address the spots visible in the magnified Image.

As will happen when dealing with overseas inventory, it took a couple days, but we were able to get better images for the stone and here is the corrected image for stock #5097043 (it is also corrected on the B2c website).
