Can Prongs be changed?

I love my engagement ring and think that it is beautiful, but the prongs on it are starting to annoy me. I feel that they are too chunky, and form an H on the side. Is it possible to have my jeweler change the prongs on the setting and keep the rest the same? Here is a picure of the profile.

Not with that setting. The head is integrated AND it has pave on each prong. I wouldn''t touch it. And any jeweler that agrees to would worry me, honestly.

In the case of your ring, it will have to be completely deconstructed and redesigned to change the prongs - if you have a peg head where the prongs can be easily removed, it''s a piece of cake. For your ring, though, it would take more effort.
