Can I use princess cut melee to halo a diamond?

Hi guys!

I have some 0.02ct princess cut stones from my original engagement ring, which I've been holding on to, wondering what to do with them. Long story short, I have been thinking about doing a pair of diamond earrings, with princess cut centres and princess cut halo. But I've been googling and pinterest-ing for a week now, and I haven't see any halos that use princess cut stones - they are all rounds. Will it work? Would love your feedback.

How about setting them as hoop earrings, or in a bangle, or in a band for a ring?

I tried looking for pics of small princess diamonds as melees in a halo and could not find any.

Sure, but with this caveat. The labor to build it may cost more than the savings from using your own diamonds.

Denverappraiser - it's not so much about saving money by using the diamonds, I just wanted to have something made as they were from my original E-ring, so sentimental reasons really. Good to know that the labour might be expensive, but my cousin is a jeweller, so hoping that helps some!

You could also put them into a new band to wear for stacking or when you dont want to wear your new ering.
