I have a band with seven very tiny diamonds (about 1 mm each) that my fiance bought me on our first anniversary of dating. Now after eight years together we are engaged and he wants me to use it for our wedding band for sentimental reasons. I am all for this and will be using it regardless of whether or not diamonds can be added. But I do think it would look nicer if there were a few more, so it would be like a half eternity. The way they are set is called a bead setting (I THINK--- could be wrong) and I was told by one local jeweler that the only way to add stones would be to do a pave setting and then they wouldnt match. We are already going to replace the diamonds because the quality is very poor, so I wondered if adding some would be possible too, even though I was told once it wasn''t. My fiance has no problem with replacing the stones as long as the actual ring is the same so I''m guessing he wouldn''t mind adding some either. I wish I had some pictures but I don''t have a good camera. It will be paired with a very simple cathdral solitaire that sits very nicely with it. Anyone have stones added to their bands or know if it''s possible? thanks
