My friend Lauren suggested I post a few pictures of my grandmother''s ring in this forum in hope that I might learn some things about it. I would like to know an estimate of age, maybe that could be told by cut or the style of the setting? It''d be nice to know what is considered vintage and what is considered antique and if this ring looks like it would fall into one of those categories. Can you tell anything about color or quality of the stones from these pics? Also, if it would be possible to guess the carat weight? There are 19 stones in the setting.
I am afraid I am wanting to know more than the pics may tell but I can hope, right?
I was left this after she passed away and don''t really know who else to ask! Someday, I hope to have the stones reset into my future wedding band.
