Can a favorite stone be reproduced?

I have an omc diamond that I love! It gives off the most beautiful chunky sparkles and has so much personality. Caveats are that it is only 1 carat and is M in color.

Theoretically, could the stone be measured and a larger stone of higher color be cut with the exact proportions of this stone? Would it produce a diamond of similar fire and presence?

Jonathan at GOG has been working on cutting some OMC''s with optimal performance. I''d go for one of those since you can see the finished product. I''m not sure when those will be available because it seems there is high demand for the cushions.

Hi Upgradeable,

If I had your diamond I can show you its optics alongside of other diamonds in a comparison to decide if this was the course you indeed wanted to take and if so I do work with cutters whom once a model is produced can reproduce it. If the diamond is larger, the optics would and should mimic what you see now in the smaller one. I may even be able to suggest tweaks to make it better should we find it lacking. One caveat though ... we will not mimic or copy another''s specific design (ie. like a brand like Cushette, Star129, etc.). We have the ability to make the model, demonstrate its optics alongside of other known optical designs and mimic or alter it as we please. Drop me an email if you''d like to pursue this idea.

I know - I just found out about them too... it''s huge! major news that someone is finally doing this and doing it damn well! There is an oec video just posted as well... the kite facets light up like mad! he nailed the proportions. He is going to be a rich man!!
