Tristan I remember being rather caustic toward you during your own search for an unorthodox ring. I don't think I ever apologised for that - please accept it now, and I'm glad you weathered it all and stuck around and stayed true to your original search - I enjoy your posts!

Lesson: Kenny's right, people really do vary! But I don't recall a proposal thread, or finished ring pics, or even finalized ring plans - care to share?

Its all water under the bridge. A pink diamond e ring would have polarised opinions in the best of times.

Sometimes when people try too hard to grasp a new angle they can't understand from a personal standpoint, well intentioned advise may come across as caustic.

With advise I always try to remember that it has to serve the recipient well. For me, there were a lot of hard questions, and a lot of doubts that arose from the PS threads. They were good questions one and all, and in the end I was sure I was on the right path. So the questions, soft, harsh, polite, less so etc all helped push aside doubts and raised good points that I could consider anew.

I hope that for anyone coming on looking for an odd, but right choice, the PS guardians will help as much as they can too.

No photos to share as it still hasn't happened yet. Timing has been pushed back a tad, for personal reasons. Meanwhile this gives me a chance to shop for an even nicer pink
