I started this here because I know a lot of the PS Mom''s own this highchair...

I''ve noticed that CDT has different straps than me, and that Tacori has mentioned that she can take off her straps for washing.

Do your straps look like my straps:

Mela- I have the same high chair and will check the straps tonight after work. If I remember correctly, they look similar to yours.

Mela I'm not home, so I can't check, but I do notice a slight difference in the clasp. When did you purchase yours? Could it be a model year difference??? Not sure.

As for removing the straps...yeah I meant to ask Tacori, since I haven't removed mine yet...I've just been wiping them down w/ lysol wipes right after he eats. But after the meatball last night they need a good cleaning!

I'll have to look at the back of my seat tonight to see if it looks similar to your photo.

ETA: I took a look at my pics...yeah mine are very different then yours...strange. For refernce (for anyone else), here's mine.

hey! Yes! Mine are the same. Hope I can explain this.

From the back of the highchair, pull the strap out a little bit to give yourself some slack.

You know how there is the small piece of the strap that is perpendicular to the main strap. That is, the part that stays outside of the hole. Well, you want to fold that small bit so that it is right in line with the main strap, rather than perendicular to it.

Then you can slip that piece through the hole, to the front.

Do that for all of the back bits and your whole harness is free for cleaning! I have to clean mine at least weekly. I soak in oxyclean.

Took me a while to figure out and when I did, I was like, DUH!

Mela, my straps are like your straps. One of the back flaps is thicker. Fold down the thinner one on top of the strap (pull back like TDM mentioned) and it will slid through. The leg one is a PITA to take out but the shoulder ones are fairly easy.

The straps on ours is the same as yours. And ditto TDM and Tacori on folding down the taps to slide the straps out. The leg one is a lot of harder to take out.

CDT - Your harness clips is very different. Interesting. I wonder if there was a different model. I got ours back in 2008.

I just purchased mine at the very end of 2009, not sure if that effects it or not. I also ordered mine from a small baby shop close to my house, not from BRU or amazon. Strange!

Maybe that is the new style? I bought mine in early 2008 (I think).

China, we have the blue. That was the only color when I bought mine.

I have the white with orange padding. Love it. I was so happy when they come out with that color for the regular model. I wasn''t going to pay for the elite one. hehe.

Mine''s just like Mela''s. Same harness too, and I got mine in early 2009.

Thanks Tacori and Qtie for the great info about the chair when I was shopping for mine. I still haven''t seen it locally and I might never have known about it! I love how it works AND how it looks. I can tell you, cleanability is so important!! I have the blue. I like the white and orange also!

We didn''t get ours until we were about to start solids, around 6 months.

Now, orange or blue is the question!!!! They are both cute. I will let DH decide.

We used the Bumbo for probably a the first month b/c introducing solids was SOOOO messy.

What''s weird is that for us, solids weren''t that messy at first. He was happy to be spoon fed (pretty easily). Now that he''s into self feeding, all he!!''s broken loose.

Ummm...have you seen the videos of T I posted on FB? Those were during her first week or so of eating baby food. Gross is all I can say. Feeding her naked in her Bumbo in the bathtub saved my sanity (or at least a small portion of it). She is STILL a messy eater at 2+
