Calling ring box hoarders (yes, you!): show me your hoard!

I’m JPie, and I’m a ring box hoarder. Despite the fact that all my jewelry live in two main boxes, I still can’t bring myself to toss the ones that accompany new purchases.

I’d love to see your stash!

Here are three that I keep at work, because I have no place for them at home:

I have many more than that, but have been giving them away and throwing them out. I couldn't possibly find all the ones I still have to photograph them, because they are everywhere. I consolidated my good jewelry to put in the safe deposit box. Costume jewelry, and some good jewelry, that belonged to my late mother is still in large bags. But the ring boxes are all over! So are Tiffany cloth bags and Tiffany cardboard boxes and some cardboard boxes from other jewelers and at least one or two red Cartier boxes that are bigger than ring boxes!

I don't hoard them but have a few pretty ones and a new one that is waiting for me in NYC that I cannot wait to see. I love keeping my jewelry in pretty boxes and I keep everything in my safe. Love the array of colors. I have purples, blues, black, and a few other assorted colors I cannot remember at the moment. LOL maybe I do have too many if I cannot remember all my colors.

My favorite jewelry box is the one my dh created for me.



It has blue velvet inside but I cannot find a photo of the inside atm.

One in blue (I have a few in different shades of blue)



One in purple that is falling apart (luckily I have spares )



one in blue/black



I also have a number of antique jewelry boxes in leather and other materials that I collected over the years. No photos of them and most of them are in the safes back in NY.

I would love to get a few of those gorgeous ones from that place you use @JPie. Those are spectacular. But I never follow through as I keep all my rings and jewels in those little travel velvet pouches. I just find them easier to use then opening up boxes that are inside boxes.

Sigh- always looking for a better way.

This. I keep all my ring and jewelry boxes - empty. Just waiting patiently to be used = maybe sometime in the future. Jewelry is kept all together in larger jewelry boxes and drawers with special holders. Crazy to keep all the original boxes - but I do. Ring Box Hoarders Unite!

I use many of my ring boxes for earrings so all of my boxes are currently being used and I could actually use more since I do store some of my bling in their original too large jewelry boxes and it takes up so much room in my safe. So I am always looking for more pretty (small) ring boxes mainly for my earrings. So @caf and @hathalove and anyone else who has lots of boxes they decide they might not use all of please keep me in mind! For my earrings I need the double slot boxes. Thanks very much!

I am going to take a few pics in a minute to show you how I use many of my ring boxes.
