Calling Resonance of Life

Thanks for checking in again, ROL, and for posting that! Does the hinge part go UP to open? Or DOWN? Like, does it open inwards or outwards of the "O" shape? Can you post a neck shot w/o your ring? I'm curious how it looks as a necklace on its own. I totally pictured a larger "O".

I hope the SS works out. I think the problem most people have with WG is the nickel alloy? I know nickel irritates the bejeezus out of me (found out in the 3rd grade from my ears totally wearing RAW from blistering due to glasses!) but my WG rings have done okay on my fingers since they didn't use nickel in them? Do you know if it's nickel that you're specifically allergic to, too?

We just got the Tiffany enhancer today, it's a sturdy little charm holder, a bit awkward putting my ring through it; but that just assures me my rings will not just fall out randomly. Not too sure about the silver yet.. since I can't wear white gold due to allergies.

Neck shot. It's on the 18" jumpring. Showing my 1 ctw OEC eternity band

I'm loving the Tiffs enhancer! It's such a great idea. I'm going to get one too! :appl: I like that you can see the logo on the enhancer, on the website it doesn't look like it has it.

Madelise: It opens upwards (which I love, since there is no way the ring could slip out unless the spring breaks somehow). I thought it would be bigger as well, I have no idea how you're supposed to stick more than 2 charms in here esp with the amount of room given. I couldn't wear SS earrings as a kid, my ears would swell up and get red and itchy. After wearing the necklace for 30 minutes, I started getting really itchy. So, back to the drawing board I go for something simple to hold my rings in. I really do like the heft that the charm holder (O part) has though.

Oo that's what I was hoping for! I'm sorry it didn't work out for you :( I wonder if any of the PS vendors can make something of the like? And make it more pendant-like too.. Just not as cheesy as those etsy ones. And def bigger so it can fit everyone's different width-ed rings and wedding sets..!

I think it just needs to be maybe 1cm bigger? Once I got the ring in, it had plenty of room to move about.. just trying to get it in the small space was a PITA to get in. Contacting PS vendors about possibly making something like this in platinum. Either that or just getting the platinum chain from Tiffany's (375$ for an 18 inch chain) and just putting it on the chain when eating at Boiling Crab or Kicking Crab again.

I was going to place an order today for the enhancer today, but after hearing your thoughts I think I might hold off. I was hoping that there may have been a larger one to choose from but... :(sad I'll be excited to hear what you find out from the vendors.

I would either hold off, or go see it in the store. I just happened to live near one so I got to see it and play with it for a little bit.. but the main thing holding me back is the SS allergy. I like that it's delicate looking and yet sturdy. It's up to you :)

After 2 days of submitting the final paperwork I needed, JM is authorizing my claim. One caveat I didn't know about... to replace my wedding band I could work with Tiffany's since my wedding band is from Tiffany's but... I would have to buy the replacement ring and get reimbursed for it since Tiffany's Corp policies do not allow for payment from JM for a replacement item. Otherwise, everything else went smoothly. Now to find a perfect replacement.

I am so sorry you lost your gorgeous, gorgeous ring!

Now that JM has authorized your claim, what happens next? Do you go on a diamond hunt? Do the specs have to be exactly the same? I believe yours was an eye clean 1.07ct. I1? What if you can't find another eye clean I1 that you love and in that carat size? Will JM pay/replace if you found an eye clean SI2 or does it *have* to be an I1?

I hope the rest of the process goes smoothly for you!

If you love that band, I would do it and just get reimbursed. I hope you can find a new stone/ering that is just as amazing.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Do you have any contenders in terms of stones yet? Will you try to do the same ring or think about something entirely different?

Hugs to you - I can only try to imagine how this must feel ~

Ame: That's what I plan on doing. :)
MGR: Erica is scouring the planet (practically) for a 2ct +/- antique cushion :)

RoL

I am sure that JBEG will find you something amazing. I adored your original and I was so upset to hear what happened. However, I am sure you are going to love your new one just as much, when she appears!!! Good Luck. I will await your new posts!!
