Diamondseeker, CONGRATULATIONS on being a Grandmother!!!! Wow, what a beautiful amazing thing!!!! Your lucky daughter!!! I bet you are a wonderful mother. I will gladly be your Vatche knife edge Tiffany repro guinea pig! I asked Yekutiel to tell Vatche not to set the stone low. I really don't like stones set too low because I feel they look squashed into the band on my finger and don't showcase the stone as much. I love the stone rising up off the band like a conquering heroine! Yekutiel said, "High?" I said, "YES! High!" A diamond set high to me is like wearing high heels - not quite as practical, but sexy as heck! Don't set my diamond like a Birkenstock, mmmkay??? LOL

Bliss...you are a sweetheart! We are very excited for our daughter and son-in-law, and us, too! They just got married last December and I told her she didn't give me much of a break from the wedding to have a baby 11 months later!

Okay, well I am glad someone else prefers diamonds to be set a little higher! I agree that it is sort of like high heels (which I never wear!), but I DO want an excellent diamond to be showcased well! Plus, the advantage of a classic solitaire is that we can have multiple bands if we want! That is cheaper than getting new sets every few years! I probably wouldn't bother changing the Leon setting if I wasn't considering changing diamonds. At this moment I am leaning toward sticking with a rb for the main e-ring. I am just too scared I would miss it!

DS - I'm SO with you on stone height as well! I once asked to have it set as low as possible... that was the last time! The very squat look flatters neither my finger nor my ring


LittleSparkle - I've decided to request a band, thank you again!! I suspect there will be an awful lot of them posted soon I'm just debating whether I need a plain band as well...

Yes, I think Victor is going to see a lot of orders for that gorgeous little band! I'd order it today if I didn't need to get my e-ring straightened out first!

Yssie, I guess there are more of us than I realized who don't want diamonds set too low! I was just dumb when I ordered my Leon and didn't insist on the height being a little taller. My daughter's Vatche Caroline is a similar style but much better proportioned. It is a nice medium height! I also cannot wait to see your finished rings!!! Sometimes it takes us a few tries to get things exactly like we want!!!!
