Hey Honey,
sorry - this is another ultrasonic question, as you seem to be the authority on the topic for our neck o the woods, lol.
I read the other thread, but I wanted to be clear - is this the same model that you bought and the same seller?

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/NEW-UTENSIL-ACCESSORY-JEWELLERY-ULTRASONIC-CLEANER-1NR_W0QQitemZ110268174080QQihZ001QQcategoryZ20685QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

The "Cody" brand?
And if so, are you still happy with it/had any issues etc?

TIA sweetheart!

Hey there sweetie! I have yet to tell you how gorgeously stunning your pics are in your thread, but I havn''t had the time I need to properly express my feelings

, will get to that later.

I am flattered by your compliments!! I have that exactly the same us, from the same seller! I think it''s totally fabulous, and I havn''t had a problem with it at all - oh, except for the fact that when I was rinsing my studs the other day, one slipped through the basket, but ''you know you''re a PSer when..... you put the plug in the sink when cleaning jewellery'', phewww!! But after that I did realise that there are different ''sections'' to the basket, in the centre has smaller whole for little things and towards the edge bigger whole for rings etc.

I will have to check at home the exact price I paid for it, but I believe it was $70 AU including postage, they have at least one auction everyday for that item, and I did notice that the price stays within 10 +/- the amount I paid for it.

Good luck bidding!!!

Thankyou sweet for your reply.
I am finding already how hard it is to keep these suckers clean!
So I think I will probably get one of those ebay ones.
Cheers for all the info, and I''ll put up an smtr thread this w''end when there''s some darn sun (hopefully

Got my US today and am keen to use it!
Another question - what do you use in yours? Honey or anyone else..?
Are we supposed to use like a Windex or a dish-soap type cleaner if we don't have US solution?

TIA, look out for "clean diamond piccies" to come!

Hey chicky! Your ears must have been burning cause I was just telling a newbie to check out your dear Perry! The proof is in the pudding that K stones can be stunning!!!

Anyhoo, in the ultra I use Morning Fresh (always been a morning fresh girl, all my life) and a dash of ammonia, in warm water. Then I rinse in warm water and dry with a soft cloth to avoid water marks on the stone etc.

How exciting you got your us! Where did you end up getting it from?

Awww, Perry and I thankyou! She enjoys being an ambassodor for "lower coloured" stones - lol.

I think I ended up getting the US from the same ebay-er that you did. And I have to admit, I was pretty impressed when I got it out of the box.
The quality seems really decent - the thing is quite heavy and well made. For whatever reason (ebay, price) I just wasn't expecting it!

Anybody in Australia looking for a US, the link at the start of this thread is a good one.

TY Honey for the advice - another Morning Fresh gal here, lol. I think I read though that ammonia is no good for yellow/white gold, only for plat? Or am I getting mixed up?

You can safely use ammonia on ygold and plat, but not wgold, it eats away at the rhodium plating apparently.
