Hello Gypsy!

I recently remember you had posted a bunch of pictures during some playtime you had at Joe Escbar. It was during that post when I realized we are neighbors. :)

I was wondering if you had any experience with them personally. I need to find a reputable local jeweler to add some sizing beads to my ring and don't want to go to just any store.

Would love your thoughts.

Thanks!

I'm not Gypsy, but I also frequent Joe Escobar to admire their amazing sparklies on a pretty frequent occasion.

Their craftsmanship is remarkable and their customer service is first rate. I've had them resize a couple of my WG rings, which I think they make more pricey than necessary, but I pay it for peace of mind that I know they'll do a fabulous job, and they don't disappoint.

Recently they re-shanked my future e-ring for me, which I purchased at a different store, and they did an impeccable job. I was nervous about it because the shank was super thin and seemed so fragile, and I was afraid something bad was going to happen to it. I was also a little worried that the transition wouldn't be smooth and it'd be obvious that something had been done to it, but it turned out beautifully and exceeded everything I could have hoped for. The previous shank was yg and they reshanked in platinum, and it looks like it was always that way. I wouldn't have trusted any other B&M jewelry store in the area to do it, and I'm glad Joe Escobar is practically in my back yard!

You can definitely take your ring for sizing beads there and not have to worry about the quality of their work, they're top notch!

Not Gypsy either, but I had my engagement ring resized there earlier this year. I agree with PP that it's pricey, but you do pay for peace of mind. They did a nice job on the resizing -- no visible seams. I would go back to them again.

Hi Spesh! They have a great bench, and I think they will be able to do your job for your without any issue at all. Ask for Erik and tell him we sent you and he'll take good care of you!

Best!
Gypsy

Thanks, everyone! It's good to know they have a good reputation.

I'm still undecided if I'm going to bring my ring to them or not. My dilema is this: My ring is from Ritani and due to the warranty, they are the only ones authorized to work on the ring. The thing is, I just don't know how needed the warranty is. It just seems like such a hassle to have too go through the trouble of sending the ring to GOG who in turn sends it to Ritani for every little thing done to the ring ... including something simple like sizing.

If one of my small diamonds were to fall out, I'd be more inclined to take it to a local reputable jeweler to get fixed rather than go through the expense and wait time of sending the ring to GOG who then sends it to Ritani where I don't see the ring for weeks at a time.

My current issue is something so small and the thought of having to send it to Ritani and be w/o the ring for 3 weeks is enough to make me re-think the warranty.

Either way, I will figure it out! Thank you to all for the positive reviews!

You can have any Ritani dealer send the stone in. You don't have to have GOG do it at all and can go to somewhere local to have them send it in... as for the timeframe issue, that unfortunately I can't help you with.
