A friend of mine told me that her boyfriend has been begging her for help on her e-ring. She hasn''t ever been to try stuff on so she really doesn''t even know what to tell him.

She lives in the Philly area and I wasn''t sure where to send him to start the process as my experience with this area is very limited. I told him about the jeweler my FF and I had visited and one other place in Media.

Could you please give me a list of a few jewelers in the area that you trust?

Thanks!

I trust Buddy Bear Jewelers on the Main Line- he is very honest and easy to work with

Thanks for the suggestion! I''ll pass that one on to them.

Jack Kellmer jewelers (at 16th & Walnut in Philadelphia and also in Haverford) is going out of business and is having a big sale now. They have always been honest and reliable - your friends might be able to get a good deal there. Linde Meyer (in Liberty Place on 17th between Market and Chestnut) has some unique things. She is very knowledgeable and honest. Tiffany''s is at Broad and Walnut Streets (in the Bellevue Hotel) and at King of Prussia. Govberg''s is at 18th & Chestnut Streets in the Boyd''s store and also in the Comcast building at 17th and Kennedy blvd.
The King of Prussia Mall also has Cartier, Milanj, J E Caldwell and Bailey Banks & Biddle. All these places are worth a visit.

Wow thanks Madam Bijoux! I did read that about Jack Kellmer. I have a feeling that they are looking to act quickly because they have already set a tentative wedding date (sometime this coming summer). I''ll pass it on.

Hi Clairitek!
I live in Philly, too. The place I bought my e-ring from has changed owners, since the original owners retired.
However, last week I got to talking to one of my patient''s family members (I''m a nurse). Super nice guy, wonderful family altogether. Turns out he owns a Jewelry store on Jewelers Row. Next week I plan on visiting his shop for wedding bands. I''ll let you know how it goes, but I can''t imagine how this guy could be untrustworthy (you never do really know, though.... I haven''t done business with him yet, but I think it helps that I knew him as a person before a jeweler, yaknow?). He was very kind and showed immense concern and patience, didn''t seem like a shisty kinda dude at all.
Anyway, he is Ron Panepinto, of Ron Panepinto Jewelers, 700 Samson St.

Thanks!

Ive pasted all of these responses into an email to my friend but keep em coming if anyone has more suggestions!

Why do I look into this post? Now I feel antsy. I must tell myself not to buy anything.. not to buy anything.. not to walk into the store..
