This is the very FIRST time I've ever listened to your music and I totally *puffy heart* it!!

Really, anyone who hasn't listened to Amethyste on MySpace, please do so!! Hers is positively one of the most *ethereal* voices I've *ever* heard!! Seriously!!

Btw, Amethyste, I also love your French. I speak French (well, intermediate French) and your French pronunciation in Nuit De Neige is really spot on!

And your screen-name/ artiste-name, it's also French. Would you mind if I asked you the background of this? I love anything and everything French. One of my biggest dreams is to go live in France for a year or so, preferably in Provence or somewhere like that, and totally absorb the culture and learn to speak fluent French, not to mention to taste all the wonderfully yummy French food!!

thank you SO SO MUCH for your most complimentary and kind comments on my music!!! I am so touched when people take the time to write me and give me their impressions on what they hear. Wow... I am really blushing here!

Well, I was born in Montreal, Quebec almost 40 years ago *yikes* and moved to the states when I was 23, not from France as most people think I retained all of my french mostly, and i still talk with a heavy FR-English accent still and I don''t think it will ever go away... It''s ok though I like it. As for my name, it is my middle name. My name is Lyne-Amethyste, as the french people like to make composed name like Jean-Luc or Marie-Anne... So I inherited one

As for Nuit De Neige, I have to admit, it is one of the most "tender" song I wrote lyrics for. My husband composes all the music I quack on, and really, having him with me experiencing all of these wonderful life experiences with him made me want to write something meaningful... and I meant every single words in the song. The song was part of my last 2009 CD release "Remembering Christmas", a very romantic and joyful release. I think in every CD I am going to release, I will do at least one piece in french - i just have to

do you listen to french singers like Veronique Sanson, Mylene Farmer, etc? Do you think you''ll ever realize your dream to live in France?

I haven't heard these singers' music but I'll look for their CD's now and am going to buy yours for sure. I think you should def do at least one song in French for every CD that you release, Yes!!

I don't know if my dream will ever realise. I'll have to convince DH somehow!
