Calling all watch lovers....

This may be a stupid question, but can you store your watch safely in an electronic safe?

I don't mean the security of the safe, but being electronic, does the magnet have any negative effects on your watch? I have seen very mixed messages with a google search and knowing that there are many collectors here on the forum, we have many enviable collections here, I am sure some of the experts will have information to share.

I haven't noticed any of my watches running fast, but It occurred to me that the magnet/or whatever moves the bolt mechanism may cause problems.
