Is everyone ok? This quite the heck of a storm we have going on right now!!!
40,000 people reported to have lost power just in Denver! Whew, I''m not going ANYWHERE tomorrow!
Stay safe everyone!
We''re A-OK and still have power, thank goodness. It''s coming down hard and fast, but I''m sure it will melt in two days, just like Friday''s snowfall did. Ohhh the joys of living in Colorado!
I''m just furious they are asking dh to drive his normal route on the interstate between denver and loveland today especially when it''s supposed to get worse this afternoon! And they have no power at his workplace so it is only 36 degrees there and they have no access to their orders in the first place!
Did I mention we''ve already had one car destroyed while working for this company in these types of weather conditions? UGH I hope DH gets home safely today
Our dish TV went out for ~10 minutes last night. We were startled around 6am by a tree limb that fell due to the heavy snow. But, we''re safe! I had a 2hr delay this am. Who gets that at work these days, hehe. And no, I don''t work for a school.
I was at work around 9:30 and surprised the roads weren''t too bad.
My 15 minute commute took me 2 1/2 hours last night...not fun. At one point they had US-36, South Boulder Road, and Highway 93 out of Boulder all closed - how are people supposed to get out town?? Not their fault, I know, but still annoying.
After I was home everything was fine. Power is running without a glitch and the sky is blue and beautiful today. Our office delayed opening until 12:00 but encouraged everyone to just work from home all day. It''s been a good day (other than my 6am conference call
, which sucks regardless of the weather), I''m still in my sweats and sititng in my office!
In fact, I"m on another conference call right now (shhhh
).
