Any comments welcome.

I''m really looking for:
SQUARE Cushion Brilliant (Not Modified)
Length to Width Ratio: 1.035 max
Ct: 2.2-2.7
Cut: Great, Ideal
Color: H, I
Clarity: SI1, VS2
Price: 17-22K

Price seems to be reasonable for a 3.0 but trying to assess how much I''m sacrificing on the cut, which is pretty important to me.

I will be seeing the stone soon and need to make a decision.

Thank you thank you thank you!

Personally I would not buy a stone like this without seeing it unless you are really sure it is what you want and you like the old mine cut appearance / charm.
The blocky facets can make the inclusion visible, and the colour will be easily noticed in some lighting.

Ditto. I love this look. But, that''s me. I think it''s a lovely stone.

Hi Marie

,
It looks like a beautiful, old fashioned style cushion (which I also love). If it''s eyeclean, the inclusions don''t pose any weird structural risks and the color looks good when you see it in person, I''d definitely give that baby a chance. If you''re able to have an independent appraiser check it out with you, he or she can advise as to cut quality and performance, but so far, nothing screams out to me as being "off". Good luck and come back with more pics if you can!

Personally, I love the look, but as everyone is pointing out, you need to see it with your own eyes to judge your comfort level.

Thanks guys for your input. I will be seeing the stone tomorrow just don''t know if I trust my own eyes. How does one find an appraiser or get a stone appraised before buying it?
