Calling all Canadians!

I am looking at a stone and setting from GOG and I live in Vancouver. As far I can understand I will have to pay PST & GST on the ring when it is shipped to me (a total of 12%). Is this correct? Does anyone have any experience of shipping to Canada? Was it straight forward?

Yes, you will have to pay GST and PST on the exchanged amount. I''ve had items shipped to me US Mial Prioroty POst and via FedEx and never have there been any issues. You have to provide documentation of proof of purchase, if asked, so customs will release it to you...that takes a few days.
