Wedding Calligraphy invitations

Hi ladies

Here''s my latest question. It''s funny, you have small weddings to make everything less complicated, but it seems to be more complicated instead! We are only having 20 people, that''s 10 couples so 10 invitations. Too few people to order fancy invitations, but I want to do something more special than just printing them out on the computer. It''s still going to be a very fancy event, just small. I saw a really neat idea in a magazine for hiring a calligrapher to do individual invitations actually TO the person, like "Dear Bob and Jane, We are delilghted to invite you . . ." (Although I''m sure it was worded better than that.) If anyone saw it, or can find another example for the wording to use and where to order the paper, etc, please post back.

If you''re not scared of the prospect of working with someone online and thru the mail only, I''d definitely suggest Katie from Artichokeink.com

She wrote out (by hand) all of my brother and sister-in-law''s programs, they had about 120 people at their wedding. I really love her work, and she was reasonably priced.

The only think that freaked us out a teeny bit was the fact that we never got to meet her in person, and the only samples of her wok were what we could see online. After we got over that, though, we were happy. All in all one of the better vendors for that wedding.

Thanks Mediterranean! I checked out the website and their work looks really terrific. I think I might be a little "small" for them though, because I''m only going to need about 8 invitations total, and they are a mass producer with a minimum order. Thank you for the tip though
