Call me crazy, but i really enjoy __________.

I like frozen sour gummy worms

I love to sit down to a movie with a full bowl of cool whip. Nothing else... just the cool whip. I eat it like ice cream.

I like to drive, with the windows down, and the music blasting... long distances. Sometimes I''ll drive two hours to the coast just because.

I love to get scared. I guess it''s a thrill thing? I love roller coasters... esp ones like dueling dragons... where the two coasters go at each other... or coasters/rides that are in the dark... like Space mountain... where I don''t know what is coming next. I am terrified of lightning... but I love storms. I love scary movies... esp watching them at home... alone...in the dark. I love the idea of hauntings.... and the unknown. My favorite ride at Disney is the haunted mansion b/c I like ghosts.

I love the ocean....but I''m terrified of swimming in it.

Lets see...

I like cleaning really dirty stuff. I think my favorite is syrupy plates that have sat in the water. They arent that dirty, but one swipe and there is an obvious difference. I love cleaning when I can get that kind of satisfaction

I also love to write. Not that I am an aspiring writer. I have no desire to write a book. I love the actual writing with a pen. Sometimes I will write the same thing several times just so I have something to write.

And bee reminded me about walking around after a shower nakee. I love to get out and just wrap a towel on my hair and let my whole body air dry. The skin kind of tightens up a little bit and I love that feeling. I also love how my skin feels all tight after a sunburn.

I like to smell stuff that most people have never thought to smell. Like I will smell old books, lint from the dryer vent, the carpet under the bed. I dont know what it is. I am not one for sniffing stinky stuff, but if I think it will have that old dusty smell I want to sniff it. I also like to name smells.

I also like the smell of rain. It seem that I have a thing about smelling.

I like to

- iron shirts

- pick a scab that''s ready

- clean my aquarium

- vacuum

- clean my ear canals with a Q-tip

- pop a ripe zit

Ditto these.

I like grocery shopping without kids

Lori -- I love watching storms too! I hate the destruction they can bring, obviously, but putting that aside, they''re so fun to watch.

One more thing. I loved writing papers when I was in school. When given the choice between doing an oral presentation or writing a paper, I''d always choose the paper. I still would. I hate speaking in public.
Me, too, Zoe!

I''ve been through two hurricanes and I went outside during each one....before, during and after....Alecia in 1983 and Ike in 2008. It was AWESOME watching the sky turn different colors and feeling the calm before the storm. The birds were gone, it was SO quiet and then it was so strange feeling the sting of the rain as the wind speed was picking up once the storm came. The eye of the storm was wild since the birds were back...SINGING...and then the storm started up again from the opposite side....just WILD! As I said, I hate the damage part, but the awesome power of nature is amazing to me! We received major damage from each storm and I wouldn''t wish that on anyone.

As for public speaking, I''d rather fall out dead....give me a paper to write any time!

Lori

Oh, spiders....I LOVE SPIDERS....I used to bring them into my room as a child. They would build their webs in the corners of my room until my mom had had enough and would tear them down. I would bring more in.

I watch out for the scary ones that are dangerous, but love to watch the safe ones spin their webs in our garage and catch their prey...flies and mosquitoes.

My next tattoo will be of a spider in her web.....

Call me crazy, but I really enjoy hand washing dishes.
I also like to peel skin off of DH when he has a sunburn.
And I love mushrooms.

DH loves to pull out hairs using tweezers. He''s always asking me if he can tweeze my eyebrows for me. Um, not a chance.
BAAAhahahaha!!! Haven, I don''t know why, but there is something soooo satisfying about this!!! A couple years ago, DH got a pretty bad sunburn on the top of his head. He''s not bald by any means, but he wears his hair very short in the summer (like almost a buzz-cut). So whenever we peeled a piece off, it had all these tiny holes in it where his hairs were! So cool! LOL!

Hi my name is Annadragon and I get this strange satisfaction out of letting the cat hair accumulate on my keyboard and then finding implements to dig it out with. A large clump of hair is particularly satisfying.

I love deadlines! No not the sound they make as they pass by, but the nervous tension of meeting the deadline. Give me a month, two weeks, a year to do a project and I''ll wait until the night before almost universally just to get that "high" of working hard to finish up in time.

And my grossest and craziest thing would be popping other people egregiously ripe pimples and their glaring blackheads. I know it''s just wrong

I try not to inspect people faces so that I won''t have to employ loads of self-restraint in this department.

anna - my guy does that. It drives me crazy. He''ll corner me in the bathroom... and won''t let me move. Even if it is seriously bringing tears to my eyes it''s so painful... he has to get them. It''s like a tick or something.

Here''s an odd one...especially since I"m a girl... and since they aren''t real. I.... LOVE...... DRAGONS. I think when done right... they are beautiful. I have recently been obsessed with the Ikran from Avatar. Seriously. I want one.

we have a few people who i think need to go to you tube and look up "zit popping"- seriously trainwrecks there. i mean, some of the ugliest zits, and seeing people pop them...it''s so gross, yet so satisfying.

Oh dragonfly! I am enamored of dragons as well! I know they are mythical but the child in me won''t allow me to truly accept that. Movies, art, sculptures, posters, paintings, you name it. I used to get this catalog that was all dragon merchandise. I spent years at Renn Faires drooling on handcrafted dragon artwork that I was too young and too broke to afford. It''s a dangerous obsession but not nearly as dangerous as zit popping on other people

annadragon - I''m glad I am not the only one. My library is filled with them. I have plaques that are painted by a certain artist. I have metal candle holders that are dragons, I have a painting, I have little hand cards that are painted by the woman who does really cool water color fairies.... I love my dragons hehe.

I clean my ears with a bobbie pin. No, it doesn''t hurt and yes, my eardrums are still intact. It scratches SO much better than a q-tip, plus it gets a lot more gunk out.

ETA: Some of ya''ll are kinda gross lol.

totally. I never put q-tips in my ears but a bobby pin can really grab that nasty chunk and scratch at the same time. So satisfying.

I like to cook from scratch.

I like to plan things.

Don''t tell FI, but I kind of -- okay, really -- enjoyed packing when we moved. I was finally able to get all of our books sorted by category so they could be properly arranged by category, by author, by height, and alphabetically when they got unpacked.

I like loading dishes into the dishwasher. I like to see how I can arrange them to fit the most in while still getting everything clean.

My name is bella and I like to go grocery shopping, love to write to-do lists, like to play with tape and glue (stick and re-stick it between my thumb and forefinger) and MP I do the bobby pin thing too sometimes, but mostly I am addicted to Q-tips, clean my ears twice a day at least, and no I don''t have any issues with ear trouble, I just can''t stand the feeling of anything in my ears. ENT isn''t happy about it, but says my ears look fine.

Also, I am in an MBA program, and have only liked one of my classes so far, but I am 1/3 of the way done, and I think the degree will help me down the line (maybe) so I am going to stick it out and finish even though it is an expensive boring PITA since I am also working full-time.

Oh, also I like to stick my finger tips in melted candle wax to see the finger print.

I have not put a q-tip in my ears in a long time. I dont seem to get wax that far up. I do go like twice a year and get them cleaned by the doctor. Now that is amazing. You would not believe what comes out! My doctor says she actually likes doing it because its fun to get the satisfaction. I started doing it years ago and I tell you after getting it done once you will always do it.

I like to go grocery shopping. It is so wonderful to pick out fresh veggies and fruits and think about what I''m going to make with them.

I like to use a fluffy towel to partially dry after a shower and then wander through the house with nothing but the towel on my head until I''m all smooth and dry.

I like to sit in a nice tub full of hot water and eat icecream with homemade fudge sauce and raspberry jam.

Ok confession time. When I worked in the ER this was tons o'' fun to do. I couldn''t believe the size of the wax balls that you could get out of a persons ear!

I just like digging around for gross stuff I guess

This thread is hilarious!

I can spend an hour picking off the split ends of my hair. Maybe it''s time for a trim...ha!

I love to paint my nails with several coats, just to peel it off when it dries. It''s nearly impossible for my to keep polish on my nails! I think it''s because I used to be a nail biter and finally about a year and a half ago I quit, so this is my replacement for biting. So weird.

me too with the split ends, I get compulsive about it!

You know those little black grainy things on dogs? Those are flea eggs I''m pretty sure. I get great satisfaction from getting them OFF of my little dog. I actually feel like a bad mommy if I find any on her ears.

Unfortunately fleas are inevitable here... even with Frontline and/or baths. I have found though that if I leave Dear doggy without a bath for several weeks (horrid I know) she gets less of them. I think I''d rather her smell like dust and dirt (which I will lead to my next column) than have fleas (I call them fleasies)

I like when my dog smells like dusty dirt. She has her own distinct dusty smell and I love to smell right behind her ears for it. She loves when I grab her up and hug her anyways so hey.

Does it hurt when the doctor does it? I can only imagine how much better your hearing would be, but it sounds like having the doctor do it might hurt a lot.

Call me crazy, but i really enjoy _filling out forms_. On paper or online...it doesn't matter...
1.gif
Me too!! But I prefer on paper. I'll usually grab everyone's and fill out all the information I know. I don't like to know that they will fill it out messily.

I like peeling the cuticles from my fingernails and when they burn and bleed. I like it, and it looks HORRIBLE, but...it's a good pain. Like when my lips are splitting dry and I get hot sause or something on it. ahhhhh.....

walking in the rain
watching old 1950s 60s telivision reruns
reading really old magizines...30s,40s,50s ect.
going through people junk drawers and jewelry boxes
folding laundry

EWWW.

You just grossed out Kenny, and I''m un-gross-out-able.

I like grocery shopping. And I really like putting away groceries. When my Mom would go grocery shopping, I would usually put it all away for her when she came home.

I really like ironing. This started when I worked in the costume shop in college. It was slightly meditative for me, no thought involved. And I love how I could actually SEE my progress.

ETA: Oh, I forgot! I love to research. Doesn't matter what: homes, purchases we are going to make, vacation spots, etc. Just tell me and I run with it...sometimes to far!
2.gif

Zit popping and tweezing. I love the feeling that I am purifying myself. The only problem is that I am totally distracted by other people with big ones or mustaches (on women) that all I can think about is holding them down and fixing it. The fact that my bro still has a unibrow is a testement to my forberance.

I also like cleaning my ears. I do not use a toothpick, but rather a little metal ear cleaner like they have in the middle east. Much more effective than a q tip and very close to as good as getting it done at the dr''swhich I have done.

Organizing files on my computer/itunes. I am a very messy person, but for some reason having a tidy computer is hugely important to me.

Every day on my lunch break, I go to the park behind work, blast new age music on my Ipod and play on the swings. I get wierd looks from parents, and I love to spin on the tire swing until I start to feel a little sick, but whatever.

I also do the split end thing, but with the length of my hair, it is the only way to keep it healthy. I would sit with sharp sewing sissors and just snip, snip, snip when watching TV.

I also LOVE to research, I always find something to do and it doesn''t matter what. I have made up fantasy words and I research random things to make them more convincing, which is silly since I am the only one to be convinced. I read the Journal of archaeological science for fun and I doubt the people who publish it even do that.

I love dead bodies. I don''t mean killing people and hiding them in my basement, I do work wth archaeological bone collections. Nothing smelly or squishy, so none of those problems. Its just something I enjoy working with on a number of levels. I love the learning and figuring things out and they are such a good source of information. I love the connection I feel to a person I have never met by putting together their lives. And I love restoring something of them and giving them a kind of immortality, especially since I work with people who didn''t have much of that in life.

I really enjoy researching too! And going for long drives on my own, just because.

I really enjoy going through my house with a black sack and throwing junk out. I''m ruthless. Spring cleaning is my favourite time of year. But I''m crap with the day-to-day cleaning.

Here''s the call me crazy one; I used to really enjoy pulling about 10 strands of hair out at a time, and then tying it in knots until it became a knotty lump of hair. I got over that one. That one was weeeeird.

Cleaning the house in the nude (nobody else at home). I just get so hot and sweaty that it is easier (don''t laugh)

I also enjoy haggling when I can, even in retail stores. I have often called the manager to offer me a deal if I buy such and such even if I don''t have the store credit card. 9 times out of 10 they offer me at least 10% off. I also go to the various makeup counters and ask for samples that I can take home and try. I have even returned cosmetic products if I find they are terrible. I always get my money back.
