I am feeling like the rounds might not blend as well as they might into the rest of the design though? Somehow they stand out more than I would like, but it could be the CAD? I am wondering if they should be a little smaller to keep the scale more similar to the pears.
Dreamer, thanks for your input. I really appreciate it. That's one of the reasons I don't know when the ring will be completed. Brian will have to match the pears to the rounds and pick out the right fit. I do know that usually the CADs show a lot more metal than in real life. Brian is using his top people to design and make the ring. So I'll just have to have faith that it will all flow. He's never let me down before.
I wonder if he will consider adding one or two smaller rounds to the design, like 10 or 15 pointers, in with the pears, that would also balance things well I think. ETA: I see there are rounds there, I'd like to see those a weensy bit larger to graduate the size from the middle pair!
Xan't wait to see how it develops! I adore this style of band. I know you will love wearing it, the "feel" is similar to my aurora and it is such a stupendous look worn. Totally suited to celebrating 30 yeares of marriage! We are celebrting five years this May
Very unique! Is there a story behind the design or the 2 diamonds at the centre? Will be very exciting to see this ring develop - will you get photos along the way? Looking forward to the final hand shots!!! (and congrats on approaching 30 years - impressive! )
Enerchi, This ring is a variation of the ring that Brian Gavin made for his wife Lesley. I believe it's on his site in the blog section. Her ring had marquise instead of the pears.
Congrats on the upcoming new ring and anniversary!!! I agree with Dreamer that if you use slightly larger side diamonds (or whatever you want to call them) it will help the graduated look. I also have to say that I love the profile view with the surprise diamond. I think it has such a classy look overall. I can't wait to see it all come together. I can't visualize diamonds and pearls for some reason but I know BG will do a great job!
Sarahbear, I love the profile too. Brian and I discussed different options. I'm glad he went with this one. All the stones will be diamonds. Rounds and pears not diamonds and pearls. I too don't know how the two would look, but you can't go wrong with diamonds. Or pearls for that matter
