CAD''s finally arrived....WRONG!

Waiting and anticipating a custom CAD arrrival only to open it and see a ring I had never seen before totally.....sucks. (for lack of better word). I used to read threads on here about PS''s "anxiously" waiting for their CAD and I would think "I won''t get anxious, not this guy".........but I am. Is just like Xmas as a kid.

Oh well, onward thru the wait.......

they emailed you a picture of the wrong ring, is that correct?

CAD is an electronic rendering / graphic. Did they mail you a drawing of the wrong ring?

My hubby told me that when was emailed pics of the final product, the vendor sent 3 pictures, all of different rings. Poor guy said he almost had a heart attack thinking it didn''t look like what he ordered!

Hopefully it was just the wrong ring and not a wrong interpretation of what you wanted!

Unless you''ve added or changed stuff since you last posted about it, I find it kind of hard to believe that WF could screw up putting a Morrell Torchiere head on their own ring? I mean there are clear pictures of both. Just put he head on the shank, no?

What did they send you?

The head was correct, the shank was a completely different style than what I had selected. I selected a rounded pave shank with the MM torchiere head and the CAD came back with a bead cathedral shank with the MM head.

Is okay, will just wait a little longer, I will say WF has been fantastic throughout the entire process, no complaints, just one of those simple mistakes....I have to leave now so I can wait impatiently some more....ttyl

What did they send you?

You would be surprised what can happen. I once tried go custom with a well known vendor, where I supplied pics of head/prongs, shank, and basically a ring that looked like what mine should, very detailed explanations, etc. I left no stone unturned, as I had done much homework on what usually went wrong with the custom process, which I found miscommunication being a big factor. I was determined to avoid that. I got a wrong cad design, twice.
