CAD came in!!

So my CAD finally came in! We're getting closer to the light at the end of the tunnel! Not sure if it's ok to post them on here. But is there anything that really needs to be looked at? I know that it should look a bit bulkier than what it will eventually be, so I shouldn't worry about that... It's a pretty straight forward design with minor alterations, but just wanna make sure if there's anything to look out for before pulling the trigger.

here you go. theres suppose to be milgrain on edges but i guess they don't show on the CAD

Haha I saw the pic and the first thing I said was "needs millgraining ". Then I read your text. Yeah millgraining is added at the end. I actually prefer it to the original with diamonds all over.

I wonder..... is there any extra fee to engrave the sides? Might spice up that large area of blank space.

hmmm... not sure she's into the designs on the band... however, do you think thats a bit thick for the band? because the stones are being removed from the original, should the band be a bit thinner?

The blank space could use something -- if you're not sure about engraving, how about asking WF to add a few flush-set small diamonds? I think the overall design is very pretty.

Here's a picture of some engraving Whiteflash has done. I think it would make a difference, makes the rinh interesting all the way around. BUT I know you said she might not be into it. If not. See if they could make a change similar to this to your cads. I think it might make it more delicate.

Great minds think alike! I was also thinking making it more of a cathedral setting, like the second picture Niel posted.

Yes those indeed look nice Niel. I'll have to see if whiteflash will charge extra for additional changes. I believe I was told that if I had to change the CAD it would cost $250, but not sure what the extent of the changes are....

I do like Niel's suggestion of sloping the cathedral shoulders a bit. It makes the design flow better, but I'm not a fan of the engraving. I think it makes the ring look more busy and less classic but that is just my .02 cents.

I'm not a fan of engraving myself, either small little cluster of small diamonds there or the cathedral is very nice! I like the cathedral best!!

Yes I do like Niel's Cathedral suggestion. To clarify Niel, the only difference is the gap of the ring being expanded correct? Or are the other small details changed that I'm missing?

I think slight tweaks to the CADs are different than big changes.

But if they do charge you and you don't want to pay it that's understandable. I think it would still be nice, just I think a slight cathedral might make it a little more delicate.

No all I did was add those gaps. I agree the engraving may not have been the best idea. I just think the sides needed something. I think the cathedral is the thing.

Before I finalize anything, I think I'll request to have the cathedral done. Don't think I'll go with any engravings though. Since I think they can make one minor change at no cost, anyone else have any suggestions to consider before I finalize the changes?

Great improvement. I think the open gallery eliminates the need for engraving, IMHO. Very lovely design especially w the milgraining at the end.
