Buying watches online - your experience and advice

DH wants to buy a Audemars Piguet. The online price is 30% less than retail price here so we are exploring this option. I'm interested in hearing your experience (both good and bad). Also, would like to ask if there's any site that you would recommend. Thank you in advance for our help!

check with your AD first, cuz most AD will offer a nice discount.

My DH is after the Royal Oak Offershore that is of very high demand here. Plus we have so many wealthy tourists who buy without looking at price tags. So I am not hopeful about getting a discount, at least not in HK. Buying online is one option, another is getting it overseas and in that case, we'd definitely ask for a discount! Thanks DF!
