Hi, Seashell! You are in the wrong part of the forum and that may be why you don't have any answers yet, but I'll be glad to answer your question!
I came here almost 6 years ago when my husband said I could get a new diamond ring for an anniversary. I was doing basic research because I wanted to be sure to get a nice quality diamond. Thankfully I found PriceScope!
What I found in my search was that after going to several nice jewelry stores locally, none of them had a decent selection of excellent cut stones. The ones I priced were lower quality at a similar price to a higher quality stone I could buy online. And many of the online jewelers do not charge sales tax to out-of-state residents.
Since that time, we have bought 1 ring stone and two sets of diamond earrings from online vendors. And our daughter's engagement ring also came from one. I have bought from both Good Old Gold and WhiteFlash, and they specialize in high quality ideal cut rounds and other shapes.
Thank goodness we found pricescope before buying my ering. We bought SO much better quality diamond and setting than we could have bought in a brick and mortar for the money we had. The prices in stores were astonishing.
Bought my diamond from Good Old Gold and my setting from Leon Mege. I'm 100% happy with the process and the outcome and I'd do it again in a second!
