Buying my first diamond

Hi all! I am fairly new to this website and to the diamond purchasing business. I am thinking about purchasing a diamond from Bluenile.com for an engagement ring. The diamond has the following specs:

I would love to hear your thoughts on whether this diamond sounds like a good purchase as well as your thoughts on the setting.

unless you have a certain particular need for an IF diamond, you can easily spend 1/2 the price on an excellent diamond with similar color and excellent cut and get a very good performing diamond.

blue nile signatures are nice. drop the clarity to at least VS.
