I've seen a lot of topics on this board regarding some shadiness w/ Robbins Brothers and their diamonds.
Here is my dilemma, I already have .75ct family diamond that I want to use for my ring.
I found this setting on Robbins Brothers:
http://www.robbinsbrothers.com/Engagement-Rings/Ring-With-Sidestones/Coast-Diamond-i46433.ring
It is the exact design that I want (square cushion halo w/ round center stone, cathedral setting in white gold). I tried a very similiar Scott Kay ring on a local store and it was beautiful but EXPENSIVE. This ring, at the price they're giving me ($1395) since my stone is slightly smaller than the one they have described would be a GREAT deal.
Which leads me to my concern, is it too good of a deal to be true??
Does anyone have any experience buying just a setting from them? Will the ring be as pretty as pictured? They say they can use a min. of SI2 clarity for the small diamonds...is that a big deal?
I've never bought expensive jewelery like this before (especially online!) so I just want to make sure I won't get ripped off....any guidance would be great!!
