Hello everyone,
I''ve been reading Pricescope for a while and this is my first post but I feel like I know everyone because of your messages. I love jewellery especially diamonds and this is a great place to be.

I have a question which I''d like some help with. I bought a 1 carat CZ from Wink almost 2 weeks ago and the payment has already been made via PayPal. However, to-date, I''ve not received even a confirmation from Wink and the item has not arrived. I''ve written to him 4 times and I''ve not heard back. Is this normal? I''ve read nothing but compliments about Wink so I am disappointed with this lack of service even if the item is inexpensive. BTW, I''m in Singapore but this shouldn''t affect anything, right?

Your advice please.

Wink likes to take off on spur of the moment little vacations for a few days without telling anyone.
It can get a little annoying at times.
Im sure he will be in touch.
 
Thanks for the reassurance. It was getting annoying waiting for a response for 2 weeks. I was really eager to see what his CZ would look like. I''m going on holiday next month and wanted to wear the CZ instead of my wedding set. And I''ll need time to get it set.

I think Wink is worth the wait. He just finished a beautiful ring for me. I am currently waiting on an earring project. Both Wink and Sheila have been great to talk with and they are genuinely nice folks. Also, his price is competitive and I think that some things are worth waiting for. You wouldn''t want a rushed sloppy job on a piece of jewelry your likely to wear everyday. I''m sorry for your wait, but I believe you will be very happy with your jewelry from Wink. He is very talented.

Thanks Lori, I was getting concerned with the wait until I was reassured by you and strmrdr.

I''m going to get the ring set in Singapore (where I live) so it should be quicker. I have a fabulous jeweller, he''s now a friend (after 5 years) and I see him more regularly than some of my friends. Sad but true. All the women that I work with who have even a remote interest in jewellery have met and bought from him. His pricing and service are great...afterall, enough of my salary goes to supporting his wife and kids!
 
The best way to get in touch with Wink is by phone. I have got him everytime I have called him on the phone. He tends to get behind in his email which is why its better to use the phone to get in touch with him.

I have gotten excellent service from him with my 10.5 ct diamond tennis bracelet, and my sapphire recut with Richard Homer. We also have had many wonderful chats on the phone which I couldn''t do via email.
 
Wink is extremely backed up on his e-mails- last I heard, he had hundreds to sift through! You should have received your stone by now, I would definitely call. That''s the best way to get ahold of him or Sheila.
 
Thanks everyone. One question. How do I call Wink from Singapore? His is a 1800 number that doesn''t apply to overseas calls, right? Does he have another number I can call?

I second the consensus here. Wink is one of the good guys. I''m not in the US either, but I''ve never had a problem with his creations. The stones are excellent quality as are the settings. He is a top class diamond and coloured stone jeweller as well as producing the fun stuff for us ladies.
 
Don''t worry--I had a similar problem. I placed an order online, and two days later Wink went off on a mini vacation. He got back four or five days later, but I was thinking I should have already had my stone by then, figuring it had been shipped before he left. I called him and found out it hadn''t gone out until he came back. I got it in about a week later.

It may very well take longer to get to you in Singapore... that''s a long way to travel! :)

I agree that it''s easier to get him via phone, but he''s genuinely nice and helpful when you do.

...oh, and the cz''s worth the wait. ;)

If i knew who you were I could give you a better answer. If your order came in through Pay Pal then Shela received it and sent it out within two days of receiving it. If you will email her at [email protected] she can check out the date when it was shipped. I am currently buried under over 100 emails per day and am about 400 behind at this time. (By behind I mean unopened.)

I have no idea what the shipping time is to Singapore and I apologize that you have not heard anything from us. We are only two people and we work hard at taking excellent care of our clients, and normally I would say to just call when you have a question, but in Singapore you are probably asleep when we are working so that is not convenient. If your stone is lost in shipping we will send another, but contacting Sheila is the better way of getting ahold of us.

Yes, as the only time I asked you to call you promptly let me know you did not like using the phone! It was a pleasant surprise to finally hear your voice.

I have asked Sheila to be on the lookout for your email, she has sent a couple of packages to Singapore in the past few weeks so she is not sure who to be looking for. We will make sure you get your stone, although there are times when the international post decides they want your goodies more than you do. We had a package of several stones dissapear from the post to Bagpus one time and sent her out a whole new shipment, which they were kind enough to deliver, finally.

I apologise again for your distress, but hope that you will receive your stone soon.

Sheila tells me that you finally received your stones and that every thing came out OK. Evidently they were visiting your customs office or something. Any way, now we know to tell our clients in Singapore that it may take a couple of weeks.

Yep, been at it since 3:45 this morning. Going to leave now to go to a wedding, I get to escort my daughter to the reception for dinner and dancing, my wife is out of town with my son and his baby introducing them to her father. My daughter is a great Salsa dancer, hope I can keep up!

Yes, I finally got it. It was gorgeous. I liked it so much I ordered some more for a pair of earrings, pendant and another ring. These will be great for when I travel.
