Parksfinegroup have some nice stones, nothing against them at all, BUT - they just listed two pages of stones and rings and jewellery onto Loupetroop all at once pushing all the everyday PS members items to where you can't see them. On top of that you have some person selling a bunch of opals with over ten listings and JimMcCormick all competing with multiple single listings as well. Is this annoying anyone else? I like seeing their things, but maybe two or three listings at a time and give everyone else a turn, and I thought originally the site was not for professional business so that we do not see pages and pages of businesses merchandise, a small number of items now and then to me is O.K, but mass listings like this - I'm kind of REALLY over it......

Yeah, periodically a thread about this surfaces here and most of us share our frustration, but then nothing happens. While the original intent of LT was for individual non-Trade PSers to sell items, I don't believe there's any real oversight of the postings, and now its been overrun by Trade members. Not sure that there's anything to be done about it, unfortunately.

Bad.
Just more fvcking noise!

I'd rather have JWs knocking on my front door.

I know that the topic comes up from time to time but I've noticed it's gotten really bad of late, which is why I'm raising it once again.

I completely agree with you - in case there was any doubt!

Do you know if we can complain to Loupetroop or anyone? Perhaps if a few of us complain they might actually listen. Since it's a free site to list items maybe suggest restricting how many items the one person can list in a 24 or 48 hour period....

I find it annoying, I'd prefer to see one post that says "we have these new items, come check them out here" instead. I also find the excessive use of ALL CAPS and hyperbolic copy annoying and it seems like it's mostly pros writing that way...your words aren't going to convince me something is GORGEOUS, STUNNING, INCREDIBLE, etc. o_O

This sends me nuts. It's just unpaid advertising/retailing services for the business in question.

Just isn't in the spirit of LoupeTroop.

Is there a moderator at all? Can you get kicked off there for misrepresenting items or otherwise being a bad citizen?

I check LT a lot and even I was taken aback by how much crap they posted in such a short period. It took up almost two freaking pages...that's nuts! :confused2:
I'm not saying they have bad looking stuff but I just don't want to see so many at once like it's just spam. It would be great if there was a limit to how many posts you could make in one day so it doesn't overrun the board.

It is frustrating and annoying to have to dig through it to get to the PS stuff.

Add me to the list of the annoyed. They are shooting themselves in the foot though because the listings all look the same and are therefore pretty easy to scroll past and ignore which is exactly what happens when you annoy people who would otherwise be a customer.

I agree with the suggestion of them having ONE listing with all available items listed.

I don't mind two or three listings at once, I'm usually pretty relaxed about it all but two pages written in CAPS as you all saw should be violating some type of rules, I assume it's supposed to be a forum for every day people to list their stuff and the occasional vendor listing a couple of discounted things is fine but that was clearly two to three business vendors taking over/monopolising the whole site.

I just took the time to read the full terms and conditions of LT and they are in violation of a few of their policies;

https://loupetroop.com/about/terms

Please report it everyone the more of us that do, the more likely LT are to do something about this.

Yep, Today was bad. Like come on. And Xmas sale really? Thanksgiving is not even passed (yes it is only tomorrow, for crying out loud).
How do we report this? Because if it is against LT policies, and it is annoying us we should voice it.

Click the "Contact Us" down the bottom of the page on LT, a box appears where you can write comments, if enough of us complain they will be forced to do something. According to their own site rules mass spam like this and advertising something more than once in seven days and mass listings are against their own policies, so please report it.

Thanks for taking the time to look into that. I will definitely be reporting them.

Yep, I dont think its fair to other sellers. I think there needs to be a limit of how many items you can have posted.
Say like maybe 5 or 10. Its not fair to non-business sellers who just have 1 or 2 items to sell.

Two pages ! 50+listings in one hour! Pfffff. wrote a message to LT.

Color me annoyed! Definitely goes against the spirit of LT! Grrr...

Looks like the complaints have worked - all their listings are gone now. I don't know how to search a seller so I don't know if their account has been deleted or what's happened.

@arkieb1 ,

Thanks for taking the time to read the Terms and Conditions, and starting this thread.

I was surprised to see all those ads when I clicked on LT the other day.
I immediately left LT.
Felt like an on-line version of telemarketers. :nono:

I have nothing against them or other vendors being on there putting small numbers of items for sale, but mass dumping 20, 30, 50 listings all in the space of an hour is ridiculous and goes against what LT was set up for.

Completely agree - LT shouldn't be the main market for your inventory especially given they list on Ebay, have a store front and also list on Etsy, all of which are more appropriate venues for selling their stock. LT is for private sales or one-offs not day to day transactions imo.

We should count that as a win, LT has temporarily suspended their account, wiped the mass listings and is suggesting they can only list up to 5 items at a time.

They also asked for ideas everyone has on limiting how many listings per account people can make or having measures so that consumers can filter out listings from high volume sellers - please make suggestions of what you would like to see and I will direct the mods of LT to this page!!!!

Does LT require people to identify as trade like on here?

No, I don't think so and at the moment there is nothing to prevent trade people listing items on there, I don't think they mind, but they do have rules against mass spamming and they agree with us that putting that many listings on their site at once really isn't what the site is all about..

Perhaps it's about finding a comfortable balance so everyone is happy. I personally don't mind seeing a small number items from trade members, just not that many all at once!!!

Agreed, I think one listing that points to wherever the trade folks post their items on the web would be great.

I have no issue with trade folks using LT, but they do get a bit out of control. This time of year I stop even going because it gets so bad. Glad that they're interested in Trying to combat that.

People who are in the trade should have to identify as such. If they're going to post a lot they should pay to do so. Yep, I said it!

That said, limiting trade to 5 is good. They have other avenues to sell their stuff, LT should not be their main place for that type of thing.

I think 5 max is plenty. They DONT have to list everything they have...just a few items and in the comment section they can say they have more listed on ebay, etsy, or where ever else they have them.

Hella annoying. One reason I sent my cluster ring to Erica to consign.....
