Budget ring

Hi there,

I am helping someone find a ring that looks like this. However the total price of the ring should be about $1,300. This band alone goes for $1,100, doesn't leave much room for the diamond.

Any other suggestions with a similar style but cheaper band? He wants the band to be yellow gold, 14k or 18k - doesn't matter although JA only has 18k yellow.

And put a K colored stone in it. At the size you'll get and in yg it'll be white enough.

I think Neil gave you a nice alternative and I'm not sure you could do better, unless the secondary market is an option for you, and even then your choices will be limited. I would really consider putting the bulk of your budget into the stone, you can find a solitaire setting for around $200, and then upgrade it in the future.

I agree with this, to a point... but I took a look on JA. Even if you bump up your search to like 1120 and go down to the cheapest setting, you can really only get up to .55 cts


heres a nice stone to pair with it. Seems like at that size they dont have any J or K stones in lower clarity. And when they do, it does not really allow you to get up to 1 ct or anything..is ok i guess. At least you dont have to worry about it being eye clean

I would probably buy second hand OR like previous posters have said, but a simple $200 solitaire setting and get the nicest diamond you can afford for $1000.
