It''s 17 degrees today!!! It is so cold, my heated seats could barely warm my tushy this morning!!

I was actually hoping that it would get even colder... Then we could have an "inclement weather" day!

I have the philosophy that you cannot complain about both the hot and the cold weather. Since I complain about the heat and humidity of the northeastern summers, I have decided never to complain about the winters. I am from Connecticut and the winters here are cold compared to the winters in Virginia where I now live, but not nearly as bitter as the winters in northern New England, the Great Plains, or Canada. On cold days in winter it may get to be 10 degrees F. here and the locks on car doors may freeze, but we also have winter days when it is 40 degrees F. and it rains insead of snows. (I hate that!) I love the snow, and I don't care how many times it snows during the winter, but my body has started to betray me in the cold. I now have to wear many more layers of clothing to stay warm and I have to push the thermostat higher indoors. I never foresaw this happening to me. I always hated the the heat.... But I think old women are often cold and I think that that is where I am headed!!!

(My computer says it is 25 degrees F. here now, but it is supposed to go down to the teens tonight, I think.)

I hate the cold. I live in Hawaii. It''s 46 degrees right now. "But you live in Hawaii". Yes, but you know we even have snow here. BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR. I hate it.

Ugh!!! Today it's -22C / -8F and I get to walk 20 min to a meeting (waiting for a bus would be worse).
(it's stupid cold for south central BC)
