We are using covid to watch lots of BritTV. We loved Peaky Blinders, Father Brown, dr Foster, Dr Blake, Vera, McDonald and Dodd. Any other good suggestions based on our likes?

I don't have Britbox, but I have been enjoying The Hinterlands on Netflix.

So many good programmes on that service. Try Shetland- very Scottish but excellent plots and acting, real murder mystery show. Also Pride and Prejudice with Colin Firth, very beautifully done.

Shetland!

For lighthearted, heartwarming stuff, try All Creatures Great and Small. Just don’t get too hooked on it - Britnox only has three seasons.

I think Shaun the Sheep is on BB - fun lite bites.

I’m not sure where these air and I have a bit of a bias towards police procedural and psychological thriller type programmes so these may not be your taste, but as a Brit I’d thoroughly recommend Strike (J K Rowling written private investigator), Line of Duty (police corruption drama, very good!), The Fall (Gillian Anderson), Luther (worth the watch for Idris Elba alone), Prime Suspect and Sherlock.

We just started Peaky Blinders... just finished season one.

I’ll check out Hinterlands and Outlander.

Is Lewis on there?

Time line it goes Endeavour, Inspector Morse, and Lewis, but it was filmed as Inspector Morse, Lewis and Endeavour. All three shows are very good.

Is Doc Martin on Brit Box now? Last I checked it was on Acorn - unfortunately.

I don’t know @VRBeauty, it was just a suggestion. US programmes on BritBox are different to the UK version.

A new find for us - The Last Detective. We’ve only watched two episodes so far, but really enjoyed them.

We just finished watching the latest season of Shetland. which ended too soon. ☹️ I hope we don’t have to wait a whole year for the next installment!

We’re also enjoying “New Tricks,” another police/detective show served with a side of humor. We just started season 3 and there are something like 13 seasons, so we don’t have to worry too much about “pacing” ourselves.
