Brit Insults re: Trump's Scotland Remarks

This makes me so proud of my nation!!

I'm not exactly sure what they mean, but I got a good chuckle out of "cockwomble" and "shitgibbon"

Ahaha! Too funny!

Kinda like Shakespearean insults!!!

This was great, Matata, but you didn't give the viewers a preview of what this was all about! :read:

First of all, some history: England and Scotland were separate countries until they were united under King James VI of Scotland who also happened to be King James I of England. It was James (1566-1625) who styled himself "king of Great Britain". Later northern Ireland was included in the United Kingdom. (The Republic of Ireland is an independent country.)

Now that the United Kingdom was part of the European Union, there was a vote about whether or not to leave (exit) the EU.The UK as a whole voted to leave the EU (Brexit), but both Northern Ireland and Scotland voted to stay in it (Remain).

That left very dissatisfied Irish and Scottish people in the UK.

OK...now the stage is set.

Scotland had voted that it wished to remain in the EU. Enter Donald Trump, who was visiting in Scotland,

Trump, who as we know has a great grasp on both foreign affairs and world economics, tweeted the message:

"Just arrived in Scotland. Place is going wild over the vote. They took their country back, just like we will take America back. No games!"

What Matata posted are British responses to to an American who can't even tell which side Scotland was on!!!

Are we sure we can let him loose to handle foreign affairs and wars and being Commander-in-Chief and stuff? What if he forgets whose side each country is on? ;))

Trump is really not popular in Scotland after the way he behaved over his Aberdeenshire golf course. He basically ruined a dune (grassy, sandy area next to the sea) ecosystem and promised loads of jobs and investments that didn't materialise ............
