Good Day Price Scopers,

I am planning on popping the famous question to my beloved @ Magic Kingdom in Disney World in March.
I am currently in the market for a stone and setting.

My first question is whether anyone has experience or reviews on a Brilliant Jewels out of Boca Raton, FL.
You may have seen their postings on ebay. http://cgi.ebay.com/2-27-Round-EGL-Certified-Loose-Diamond-Engagement-Ring_W0QQitemZ280195084953QQihZ018QQcategoryZ110740QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem.

The reason I am considering this option is because I live in Boca Raton and can view the stone first hand before a finacial
transaction.

My second question is where online can purchase a setting only, preferable in a six prong tiffany style setting for up to 1200 US.

Thanks for any help in advance!

I''d be wary. He states the actual price is 24 000, then 35 000. so why to you for 8600... If you can see the stone in person and take it to an independent appraiser, then maybe go after it, IF the appraiser agrees. But I wouldn''t by a stone like that from ebay, without an appraiser evaluating it first. Depending on the EGL lab as well, their certs can be a bit ''loose''. As for the tiffany band, Mark Morrell and Exceldiamonds offers replicas that are thought of as very high quality. If you want people on this site can help you find a stone, not on ebay, but in that 8600$ price range I don''t think it would be a 2.2 ct, but would be incredible non the less around the 1 to 1.7 ct range.

Good luck!!!

Sparxs thanks immensely.

I have been looking into this site now for about four months lurking and soaking up knowledge of rocks.
Without a doubt I will be taking your advice about an independant appraisal. There is an appraiser named
Joseph Tenhagan listed in the independant appraisers section that I will be contacting. If the contact at
Brilliant Jewells pulls back when I mention an independant appraiser then he has something to hide.
See, my lady likes her jewells BIG and is willing to sacrifice quality. I however, will sacrifice color,
and to some extent clarity but not cut.

I have looked at Mark Morrels designs and love the flow of them. Especially the solitaires. Do you know if MM carries any production pieces that don''t require a lenthy wait to aquire?

Thanks again Sparxs

if you live in boca raton go to brilliant jewels see how the diamonds are first hand youhave nothing to lose, let me know how it turns out

As far as I know MM does very good business, and his wait times can sometimes be longer than what some peope have. My suggestion is to give them a call and check it out. The poeple that post on this forum really recommend his work, so it may even be worth the wait. Again good luck in your search, and you''re turning into a true PSer by not sacrificing cut!!!!!!!!!

hey ryan did you end up buying at brilliant jewels? how was it?
