I'm currently on a search for my...well her "perfect" diamond. I'm looking for everyone's advice on brilliance. She wants a diamond that has more brilliance and less fire. What qualities do I want to look for? Angle ranges? I'm looking at round, G min, .75-.85, VS2, Ideal Sym/Pol, Ideal - H&A cut.

Thanks

Deeper pavilion - 41 -41.5 degrees, shallower crown angle 28-33 degrees and table 57% to 60% should do the trick.

Use the HCA cut adviser link above and play with a dozen or so proportions. You want BIC scores (brilliant Ideal Cut).
The depth % will probably be a little lower than usual - around 57% to 61%

Then you will have some table depth %'s to play with and you will need to do some serious searching because few stones will list the proportion data you need.
