can anyone recommend brick & mortar places in Chicago to buy an engagement ring? i realize that the Diamond District is here, but no one I know here has actually bought a ring there!

Isnt Dimend Scassi in Chicago? Their website is www.dimendscaasi.com. I would try them. Also there are a few Chicago PS-ers that hopefully will chime in with their recommendations.
