I received the new earrings and they look very nice. A lot better than the previous set. Thanks everyone for your suggestions. Here are the pics that Lesley sent. The earrings actually look better in person than the pics.

very nice! any chance we could have some ear shots?

Nice photos and beautiful earrings!

Personal question: do you like the .35 or the .42's better? Do you notice the size difference? I'm trying to decide between different sizes before I make a decision, and your thread has been really helpful to see how the finished product will look!

I too am curious if you can notice a difference!

I would have them reset - looks like a bezel to me - very nice sparklies though!

Whitby - I will try to get an earshot but my wife may be shy about it. She doesn''t like her ears very much :-)

Snuggles, Dreamer - Yes, I do notice the size difference. To me, the .35''s looked small on my wife (she is 5''7") and I kept on thinking to myself wish they were a bit bigger. The .42''s look a lot better. The stones look substantial and noticable.

I may in few years upgrade them to .60''s-.70''s, but not bigger than that.

By the way, the .42''s are J VS2. The stones do not look very white in the picture, but they are very good looking stones in real life.

And I would suggest paying the extra $50 and go with the Martini Cocktail setting, definitely worth it.

I spent $400 more to get the new earrings (bigger stones + better setting) and I feel it was money well spent.

They look lovely!

Out of curiosity, what did you do with the old settings?

I shipped back the previous set of earrings to BGD.

That''s more like it! I hope your wife gets a lot of enjoyment out of these beauties!
