I'm not sure if the little feather there is doing that, but I don't think so. The green on an ASET (what's shown is a computer generated version of that, which is part of AGS light performance mapping) means light that is collected from lower on the horizon around the stone. Not a good or bad thing necessarily, just shows from where the stone reflects its light.

The lab gave it a 0 for light performance, so what little inclusions it has shouldn't be visible with the unaided eye, and in this case don't appear to have significantly affected the light performance.

It looks pretty. I like the tiny table. Should be a little sparkler. :wavey:

Looks perfect! Now put that baby on hold before it gets snatched out from under you!

Nope. AGS is a very reliable lab and more conservative on cut than GIA. Besides, if a wholesaler is discussing selling you a stone, they're a retailer.

still not 100% on my bgd I have on hold. still talking and looking to others. viewed several stones today. I am worried I wont be happy with the I color. found the option below for same money..
comes back as 3.4 HCA is that really that bad. wud u choose the cut of the bgd or the color n clarity along with xxx gia cut

BGD Definitely!!! I had a 2.54 ct I colour from BGD prior to upgrading, and it was really white face up. You will honestly be very happy with that stone. I wouldn't even contemplate a stone with a 3.4 HCA score, but that's me.
Good luck :)

Cut wise? No contest!.. :wall:..color wise? only you can decide.

I have to agree that the BGD is the best cut (no contest). Most people on PS are cut nuts. The non BGD stone has depth of 62.5 and a med to thick girdle. Also, that aset has tons of white ( a lot). I would consider it a dud -sorry, all of that white is not a good thing. Plus, it looks really wonky. You may want to read about aset and IS to help you in your search.

Thank you everyone for the vaulable insight. I would rep u all if this forumhad a system like that.
i wasnt sure if the second choice i had the images and aset were of the actual stone in question.
So my consensus is that everybody would pick the bgd over the other choice.
this is going in white gold e ring with side channel set stones. Would the i color be that noticable. Or will the cut quality help
Also once the stone is mounted does color become less noticable(assuming the colors arnt picked up from the setting etc).
Once again anybody have any stones that are in my specs they care to share.
i have also found .9 h si1 eye clean. With a 1.4 hca should i consider this? Its + $300

I know this does not answer your last question, but the BG stone you are looking at is a winner. Personally I would not be happy with anything below a VS2. As far as color - the outstanding cut will make it colorless if indeed there is any slight tint to it at all.
I think sometimes - I was this way - people think a stone with some color is going to be awful when actually it just adds a bit of warmth.
In the case of I, it's not very much tint at all.

By the way, while you are comparing stones, look at the mms, not the carat weight.

Here is my ags ideal H&A with f/g side stones mine is also an I colour image_1904.jpg
