I want to get my ducks in a row before contacting Brian Gavin about purchasing an engagement ring. I'm planning on getting one of his "Brian Gavin Blue" ideal cut diamonds. I've been looking at rings and I found a style I like at Gabriel & Co. But I really want to go through Brian Gavin.

My question is, would Brian Gavin be able to purchase the setting I want from Gabriel & Co, and then set the diamond? Would that have warranty or liability (damage during setting) implications?

I've seen what rings Brian Gavin has with a company called Levi, but they don't quite have the style I want. I guess my other option would be to have them do a custom ring. But I wonder if that would cost too much to be worthwhile.

I thought I'd pick your brains before contacting them. (Also my etrade stock sale needs to clear into my bank account, which takes like a week for no good reason.)

In case you're wondering, these are the rings I like from Gabriel & Co. The first one is my favorite. For the wedding band, I anticipate there being some diamonds on it, but I'm going to wait until after the engagement to look into bands with her.

I don't think BGD are an authorized dealer of that line, you would need to ask.

If not, you have a few options. Order the stone and have it sent to a vendor like ID Jewelry who carry that line. Or order the setting from a vendor like IDJ and have the setting sent to BGD for setting. I like the latter option. YOu would need to call ID (or whomever) to ask about warranties and such.
