Brian Gavin is going to do the recut - here's the reports

I just got off the phone with Brian (wow, he works late!) and we decided to proceed with the recut. He sent me the following reports showing the before and the estimated "after."
Unfortunately, the recut will take the stone under the 2 ct mark, but it will improve the performance. I am pretty excited, but I have to have patience because Brian will be out of the country (coincidence...I will, too...lol) next week so I will touch base with him the following week.

I think it's great you are only losing weight to 1.9 with that chip. I think it's great news! I can't wait to see the after!

I can't wait to see the result! I think there was no way to keep it at above 2 ct since it started at 2.09. It seems like most of the diameter is going to be preserved though!

I was extremely pleased with the improvement in the stone he recut for me! My thought was that I'd rather have a smaller stone worth resetting into a piece of jewelry I would be happy to wear as opposed to having a poorly cut stone that sat in a drawer! Can't wait to see your after pictures!
