All the reports on this are less than an hour old (from what I''ve seen).
Can''t say I''m surpised, but I feel awful for the children. One of the links I found said that Angelina has been battling depression since the death of her mother.

Oh Mara, I couldn't get past that ratty assed white beard... I was thinking, is this for a movie??? I have no clue.
I am not a fan of Angelina, so won't be reading the links...

My wish, is that Brad and Jen get back together....

We have friends who are neighbors in Nantucket. Who in CA have a huge spread that's next to Oprah's house

They are in their 80's and always love to have us join them for lunch at the club.

Us Weekly reported that they've been spending time apart because Brad wants to stay in New Orleans, and Angelina wants to travel and never put down roots.

Not that I trust Us for quality reporting, just saying that's what was going on in the celeb rags earlier this week (or last week, when it went to press, I guess).

Anyway, if it is true, I think it's a shame. It's never a nice thing to see a family split up.

I guess they have to figure out custody issues, because Brad is the legal father of the adopted children. And maybe child support? not sure. I don''t know, I''m a little disappointed to hear this, they seemed devoted to each other and to the kids, but I am sure the kids will be ok.

If it''s true, it was always going to be doomed, they live their life in a fishbowl and are criticised for everything they say or do, so the paparazi have been waiting for this story. But let''s be honest, they''ve not exactly tried to live a normal life, I mean how many people can have 6 kids in 5 years and have the careers they have?

Play with fire, you''re gonna get burned, everyone saw it coming when Brad fell for Angelina. She''s been brought up in quite a different family and lifestyle and therefore doesn''t colour inside the lines quite like the rest of us, so more fool Brad. However, it''s the poor kids who''ll suffer. Maybe not financially but they will emotionally cos it''s not easy seeing your parents break up and no doubt there will be the introduction of a new man or woman for both of them soon cos from what I''ve seen, you can''t be single in Hollywood, there will then be more kids on either side, such a shame, but it was only a matter of time.

If this were true... I would think that TMZ and Perez would report on it (and normally they do a good job reporting only real things that have happened...) So I still don''t think this has happened.

Both can be legal parents. You don''t have to be married to both be legal guardians of a child.

And they would need an agreement because they are both legal guardians of the children. And I assume they hold assets together. It''s more of a legal agreement for dividing property and custody.

But that being said I don''t believe it yet either. None of the reliable sites are reporting it yet...

Rumors about them splitting have been going on practically since they got together I feel like, so I'm kind of "cried wolf" about it. I'll believe it when they admit to it themselves. Regardless of whatever personality quirks they may have, I think they both have warm hearts if what they do in the international scene is any indication.

And yeah, the beard thing is for a new movie I believe. Apparently Brad hates glue on beards with a vengeance.

Any time two people have intermingled their finances they have to divide them. When you are talking multiple properties and multi millions, you'd better believe that there will be attorneys involved. And this isn't the topic of the thread, but since lesbians and gay people still can't marry, but ANY couple can have many year long relationships that are living as if they are married, should they decide to split up, they might need the help of attorneys as well. This is becoming a bigger and bigger part of the field in Family Law with an increase of acceptance of living together instead of marriage.

Essentially if two people are splitting up, and they do not agree explicitly as to how assets are to be split, then lawyers act as mediators and negotiators.

And that is just financial stuff. Child custody is a whole different ball game and intensely complex, especially with two jet setting, famous, rich parents with multiple residences, that haven't been married. Yes, not being married can make split ups more complicated sometimes. Not to mention taking children over borders, and having multiple staff members taking care of the children. Etc etc etc.

Perez has denied it, and I'll believe it when they come out and say it. It sounds like it could be a pre-nup for all we know.

Haha, guess I wouldn''t know since I never mingled finances with the hubby before we were married, not that we would have needed lawyers to divide up the food in the fridge

But yeah, I doubt it''s true. Also, I''m starting to get annoyed that the tabloids seem to be cheering for them to split up. I feel like every time I pass a magazine stand, there''s at least one cover about a rumor that they are either fighting or splitting or on the rocks. I''d be so annoyed if every time my hubby and I looked at each other wrong or didn''t attend something together, the world started heralding our divorce with practical glee. This is why I could never be famous, haha.
