For you royal Asscher lovers there is hope. I found one during a web search of loose diamond dealers. Went to NYC to see it Monday 6/10 and compare to traditional generic asschers. There was no comparison. royal Asschers are beyond gorgeous. Luckily, mine was priced the same as a generic asscher (actually got great price!). Currently being set with two step cut trapezoids. Will post pics when it arrives :appl:
The specs:
4.19 ct
9.17 x 9.18
J
vs1
Medium blue floresence
excellent polish
very good symmetry
65.8 depth
56 table%

Congratulations.
I'm sure it is astonishingly beautiful.

Hi,
Congrats on your ring. If you can give me your dealers name/number. I've been looking for a reasonably priced Royal Asscher for a while.
Thanks

Wow, how fabulous! Did they have the documentation to prove it is a Royal Asscher? Just wondered how you were able to know it was one for sure!

I think side traps will be beautiful!

well done...

cant wait to see the pictures!!!
woo hoo!

A 4 c. Royal Asscher without pics...what a tease...I luv asschers and can't wait to see it. Sounds awesome!

I suppose if you can verify that the inscription is authentic, since anything can be inscribed on the stone (we see H&A inscribed on stones, for example, when they are not). But I am sure the original poster would have verified it, although he said he didn't pay a price premium for it, which was unusual.

I'm really hoping the OP checked the serial number on the diamond against the records that Royal Asscher keeps to ID the diamond correctly. I would be very concerned as RA has a very high preimum for their diamonds. It would concern me if it were priced lowered.

The Royal Asscher I purchased has the laser inscription on GIA report. I also contacted Lita Asscher and she verified the serial number on the diamond with the color and specs of the diamond. It is the genuine thing!

I worked with Ron at 1 Diamond Source. Randomly discovered RA when checking the GIA certs of diamonds on his website. He is located in NYC diamond district (not on scary street level!). I know I got a great price on a gorgeous diamond. Not sure if he can get you another one, but its worth it to contact him. There is a toll free number on his website or you can call 212-575-5260. Tell him Lisa recommended you call him! I hope your search ends as happily as mine.

Lita Asscher confirmed the specs of the diamond when I gave her the laser inscribed serial number. Its the real deal!

it did seem too good to be true. I would never have purchased without confirming serial number with Royal Asscher company. Lita Asscher not only confirmed the validity of the serial number, but also the specs of the diamond. Real deal!
