I just bought a diamond recently and I was wondering what steps I should take after the fact. I had it appraised by the dealer I bought it from, and I have it insured. Is there anything else that I should do? Should I get in appraised by someone else? Thanks for the help!
I personally believe in INDEPENDENT appraisials. But I think for insurance purposes I am sure you are fine. No you have to get a setting. Finding the home for your diamond is so much fun!
If you feel the need to get another appraisal, that''s the next step. The following one is to find a setting AND, most important, a person that will set your own stone. Hardly anybody would take responsability should happen something to your stone, if they did not sell it to you. Run a search in the archives, this topic has been debated many times.
