Ok it seems that ethical dilemmas are common here lately, so I thought I would throw in mine. I ordered a 10X jewelers loupe off Ebay ($13+$3 shipping) for my E-ring. They sent one to me last week. 2 days later I received another one. I was worried that I accidently ordered 2, but I checked my account and I was only charged for the one I ordered.

What would you do in this situation? I was thinking about telling them about it and offering to mail it back if they pay for the shipping back to them. But due to my work schedule, going to the post office will be somewhat of a hassle..should I consider that too?

I would contact them and see what they want you to do. I ordered one off of ebay, but I only got one. Ask they may just tell you to keep it.

I would send them an e-mail and see what they offer. Most likely they will pay for shipping or tell you to just keep it.

Integrity demands that you let them know. I''d almost bet they tell you to keep it though unless it''s something special.

Hello! I took your advice and I ordered mine from ebay too.. It had a buy it now price for... $14.95 + shipping of $3.95? something like that. The total was $18.90 and I can''t wait to get it. By the way, I only saw one seller selling these..... did you buy it from the same guy? I think the paypal payee name was MAtthew Hughes? something like that.

I wonder how long it would take to receive it.

A similar thing happened to me. I bought a small jewelry box (really cheap) online and they ended up sending me 2. Granted they cost around $30 each and I called them to let them know that I received another one in error. They thanked me for calling and basically said that they would lose money if they paid to have it shipped back - so they asked that I donate it.

Same thing happened with a book I ordered on Amazon. They basically asked me to donate it to a school.

I would just email them... I''m almost certain that they''ll just want you to keep or donate the $14 purchase.

was it by any chance "findingking" becuase they gave me two, too.

I emailed the seller and told him about the mistake. He asked if I could mark Return to Sender and drop it in a mailbox (it was sent USPS). Will this work? I''ve only used Return to Sender with UPS before.

My understanding is, it works IF you haven''t opened the package.
