Boston diamond district?

My mother is travelling to Boston (we’re in Australia) and is on the hunt for some diamond studs. Any recommendations for reputable dealers or retailers in the area appreciated. She’s not going to NY unfortunately.

The Jeweler's Exchange Building at 333 Washington Street in downtown Boston houses many different jewelers. I can't recommend one in particular but I think most will negotiate on prices and will be less than a normal retail jewelry store. There is also E.B. Horn at 429 Washington Street that seems to be where insurance companies direct you when you are looking to replace a lost piece of jewelry.
