Are there any bookworms in the house? I’d like some recommendations for good authors or book titles for some enjoyable light reading. I like thriller/suspense type novels, spy novels, dramas with historical backdrop, trilogies, comedy. Some of the authors I have read extensively:
Ken Follett
Gillian Flynn
David Sedaris
Anita Shreve
Michael Crichton

I just finished the Crazy Rich Asians Trilogy, and I need more! Thanks in advance

Have you looked at the book thread? Here is a link to it. Sometimes it is more active than other times. I would post your query there.

JaysonsMom - I read a lot. Some of me recently read books that I’d recommend are:

Double Life by Flynn Berry
Little Sister by Isobel Aahdown
Sister of Mine by Laurie Petrou
Sweet little lies - Caz frear
America for Beginners- Leah Franqui
Our little secret by Roz Nay
Click dance by Anne Tyler

Woman in White
Snow Storm in August
Anything written by Agatha Christie (I love Poirot)
Any by John Le Carre (Night Manager is good)
Horatio Hornblower (series)
Master and Commander (series)
Sue Grafton's alphabet series is pretty good
The Cat Who... (not great literature but fun read)
Sarah's Key (suspenseful based on events in history but NOT a happy topic)

For light reading set in history, I enjoyed the Anne of Green Gables series. All of the books are pretty well done and make a nice read.

You might like Deborah Crombie’s Duncan Kincaid mysteries. They’re set in contemporary England.

Jaqueline Winspear’s Maudie Dobbs series, set in England in the WWI-WWII period, is a bit lighter and required a bit more suspension of disbelief, but it’s a nice bit of historical mystery.

For just fun, try the “Miss Julia” series if your library carries it.

Thank you AGBF, I can't believe I forgot about the book thread. Thanks for the link! will be going through that long thread to get some ideas.

Thanks TooPatient! The first 2 sound like they're right up my alley, the titles are intriguing. Will look these up.

Thank you VRBeauty! I will check kindle and amazon for these series, I rarely get to a library these days.
